Chipper Banana Muffins

I love this recipe - I was served these at a friend's house - and couldn't believe it when she said the recipe was taken from a Weight Watcher cookbook. These muffins always turn out moist and yummy!

2 1/4 Cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 Cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 Cup canola oil
2 very ripe bananas
1/2 Cup skim buttermilk
1/4 Cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350
line or spray muffin tins
In med bowl combine flour, baking powder and baking soda
In large bowl with mixer at med speed, beat sugar, applesauce, eggs and oil until frothy.
Add buttermilk to bananas. Alternately add banana mixture and flour to egg mixture stir until combined - do not overmix. Fold in Chocolate chips.
Spoon batter into cups - filling 2/3 full. Bake 20-25 minutes. Remove from tin and cool.
